2004 Showcase Garden

This garden was created with a cottage style theme full of calm and
tranquillity but with elements of a more modern nature, such as the
Flemish bonded brickwork rill. The design was full of beneficial
plants both culinary and medicinal and surrounded by chestnut fencing
and dry stone walling. Pollarded willows gently shaded a wild flowery
mead where an old iron bench was placed for quiet contemplation across
the rest of the garden. Wooden bricks were inset into a spiral path
leading past the mead into the cottage style garden and ending under
a beautifully crafted, rusted metal arbour. A rill gently meandered
around the arbour and alongside the path down to the front corner
of the garden which gave a gentle sound as it ran over pebbles.
